Jenny Yoo
I am an Asian-American therapist who has lived in America for over forty years and has worked closely with immigrant families, church communities, and early education settings. For eighteen years, I served as a family counselor, and later spent a decade as a K–12 private school principal. I have walked closely with individuals and families who struggled with depression, overwhelming pressure, relationship issues, and past traumas. These experiences taught me how deeply misunderstood many people feel, and how powerful it can be when someone finally understands their story. My approach is to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns, understand how and why those patterns exist, and build practical skills for change.
My goal of counseling is not to stay in the past, but to help clients move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence in their lives.
